The 12th International Congress of the International Society for Low Vision Research and Rehabilitation will be held June 25 - 29th, 2017 in The Hague, Netherlands.

People from a variety of disciplines work in the field of research and development for rehabilitation of people with vision impairment. This includes ophthalmologists, optometrists, orthoptists, physicists, psychologists, therapists, physicians, and clinical healthcare professionals, among others.
Research into vision impairment is becoming increasingly important because of the predominance information exchange which require vision, such as books, journals, video, and computer monitors. In addition, this kind of research and development is important because of the importance of vision in such practical tasks as driving.
ISLRR is offering a limited number of travel fellowships for Vision 2017 – The 12th International Conference on Low Vision Research & Rehabilitation. These fellowships will primarily be given to individuals, especially students, from developing countries and/or those who can demonstrate financial need.
In order to apply for these travel fellowships, please send the following information:
• A one-page letter explaining the financial need
• A copy of the submitted abstract(s) where you are the lead author
• Proof of student status (if applicable)
