SAVIR-Center Supports Early-Career Researchers at VISION 2027
The International Society for Low Vision Research and Rehabilitation (ISLRR) is pleased to acknowledge the support of the Sabel Vision Restoration Center (www.savir-center.com) through the establishment of the SAVIR Best Abstract Award for the upcoming VISION 2027 meeting.
Through this sponsorship, SAVIR-Center will fund five awards of €1,000 each to assist outstanding early-career researchers with travel to the VISION 2027 conference (14–16 September 2027, Melbourne, Australia). This initiative reflects a shared commitment to fostering excellence in low vision research and rehabilitation and supporting the next generation of vision scientists.
- Five SAVIR Best Abstract Awards, each valued at €1,000, will be awarded at VISION 2027.
- Awards are intended to support early-career researchers presenting high-quality scientific work. Eligible applicants are junior scientists (typically within five years of completing their highest degree) who are actively engaged in research related to low vision.
- Award recipients will be notified well before the conference registration deadline.
- Awards will be presented during the conference, regardless of the presentation type (for e.g., oral or poster presentation).
-
ISLRR also invites other interested industry or commercial partners to award sponsorship through ISLRR for its members to attend VISION 2027 or to provide pilot study funding (contact ISLRR at joinislrr@gmail.com).
